Lead Ammo Ban by National Park Service an Anti-Hunting Move

Fairfax, Va. -- The National Park Service has announced its intention to ban traditional ammunition containing lead in all its parks. The move would needlessly push hunters to use more costly ammo like tungsten, copper, and steel. The restrictions, set to take affect by the end of 2010, were announced without regard to science or soliciting feedback from sportsmens’ groups.

"The NPS announcement demonstrates either complete ignorance or complete arrogance as to the effect that this policy will have on hunters,” says Chris W. Cox, NRA chief lobbyist. “There is no science to support NPS' contention that the use of lead ammunition in hunting is causing environmental contamination, having a negative effect on wildlife, or posing a threat to the health of visitors or park staff. This policy, and the lack of communication in advance with the sportsmen's community, is a deliberate attempt to reduce the number of people who will want to hunt in the 60 parks that are open to hunting. This plays directly into the hands of radical anti-hunting organizations like the Humane Society of the US which is advocating that hunters be banned from using lead ammunition."

The NRA will continue to be a voice of opposition against this unnecessary action and is committed to protecting the rights of hunters to use the ammo that is best suited for their hunting needs and budget.

Survival: Desalinating Water

Hey everyone, I'm going to try and provide some neat survival tips in the event you might ever need them.

Due to the events we're seeing I figured it would be prudent to try and help my fellow man by providing some tips that may assist in survival. While I'm no survival expert I do know some things that will help and I'm sure many others will be able to provide useful insight as well. I'll do my best to provide detailed instructions on how to do things and provide decent imagery for assistance. I'll try and update as often as possible so keep checking back


Desalination:

I think few would disagree that Water is the absolutely most important necessity in survival. When near the ocean you have an excellent resource assuming you can make use of it.

What you'll need:
  1. A Large Bowl, Preferably Black
  2. A smalle bowl for collecting water
  3. Cellophane
  4. A rock (Not too heavy)
  5. Seawater
  6. A sunny day
What to do:
  1. Fill the large bowl about half way with seawater
  2. Place the smaller bowl in the larger bowl so it floats on the water
  3. Cover the large bowl in cellophane
  4. place the rock in the center of the cellophane causing it to bow down
  5. place in direct bright sunlight.
What will happen:

As the sun beats down on the seawater in the larger bowl it will heat up enough to cause the water to evaporate. In turn it will collect on the cellophane and drip down to the point where the rock is resting onto the cellophane and drip into the smaller bowl. This water will effectively be desalinated.

Obviously larger amounts of water will take longer to heat up and evaporate so this isn't necessarily the most efficient way to get desalinated water but it's better than nothing. Keep in mind that you will most likely still need to sterilize the water for safety as I can't guarantee that this process will make the water completely potable. Some might feel that it being salt water it might be safe enough but I wouldn't trust it.

US Ranks 15th in Creditworthiness!

Jim Brady wants to disarm citizens

Well, in case you haven't heard there is a gentleman names Jim Brady who is campaigning to end gun violence. The problem is he is targeting the wrong people, Law abiding citizens who own guns. In his ignorance he puts law abiding citizens into the same category as the sick people who shoot up the innocent. His website even has an image that states "In 2004, Guns murdered..." Really? Guns murdered people? Those are talented guns! I can't wait to see the statistics on blood thirsty knives and the Evil Baseball bats!

[sarcasm]You know who I feel sorry for? The poor criminals that find themselves handling one of these murderous weapons... how are they to know that the gun is about to point itself at an innocent person, turn off its safety, and pull its own trigger, or the knife in their hand is planning on thrusting itself into the person before them, or the bat they're wielding is about to bludgen someone? [/sarcasm]

You know what people like Jim Brady fail to report? All of the crimes that have been prevented by a gun being present. All of the criminals that have been stopped (not killed) by being shot in the leg or arm and preventing them from hurting other innocent people. Why doesn't he keep track of those staggering numbers because I bet they'd surely make his numbers seem inadequate. If someone wants to kill they will use whatever weapon they can find plain and simple. And criminals don't care about breaking the law (thus being called criminals) and they will gladly obtain firearms illegally!

Look at the successful war on drugs! If people want it they will get it. So don't run around trying to disarm the law abiding citizens!

How biased is this? Let me scale these numbers for you so they don't look so scary:

The U.S. has a population of Appx. 303,824,640
New Zealand: 4,173,460
Sweden: 9,045,389
Australia: 21,007,310
Wales: 2,900,000
Canada: 33,212,696
Now let's do some math. It's easy, divide the U.S. population by the other populations and multiply the number of deaths: here are the new numbers (in deaths):
New Zealand: 364
Sweden: 1243
Australia: 810
Wales: 7648
Canada: 1683


Wow! My how numbers change! New Zealand Murders went up 7280% and Canada is up 914%!!! UNBELIEVABLE! And here is another problem, These numbers aren't taking into account the terribly biased (I'm sure) scale that they used to judge America vs. these other countries! I wouldn't be surprised if they included Iraq war deaths to help skew the numbers. Anyways. I'm done with this man. If he feels he knows better than our founding fathers than more power to him, let me just remind you that our country is where it is at because we didn't stick to the constitution as tighly as we should have, because our leaders "knew better."

Citi Financial

A lot of people are tired of throwing tax dollars into this money pit so allow me to suggest that we cut this cancer off of America. Washington needs to let this thing die, and bury it deep, deep into the ground. Keeping Citi and a couple of these other unnamables alive is only prolonging America's agony, and in turn the rest of the world's Agony. They made this bed and they can sleep in it! Let us not repeat the same mistakes Japan did and drag this out any longer than it must. I'm tired of seeing my tax dollars going to these rotten manifestations.

Why is the White House Partying?

While America is burning, people are getting laid off and children don't have medical coverage, our President, and believe me I have a lot of respect for that title, is partying away tax dollars! From what I've been able to find so far the news stories are saynig that he has been partying nearly every night. Now, let's consider those numbers slightly embellished and say that he maybe has one party a week.

I can't imagine any of these parties costing less than $100,000 dollars. Especially when he is hiring big name stars like Mr. Stevie Wonder to play at them! For the time that he has been in office he has probably spent more than a million dollars on parties! Now my numbers right now are completely fabricated because it's still being investigated, but I feel that I've used conservative numbers to be fair. I have a source below for your reference.

Gun Control Protects Criminals

Case and Point, if you were a criminal, would you feel safer breaking into a house knowing that the owner of the house was legally prohibited from owning a gun? I know I would! It really diminishes the chances of your targets being able to defend themselves! I found a neat video that further expresses this sentiment, be sure to pass it around!
